We handle a range of claims from loose marine cargo damages, motor surveillance, goods in transit, Pre-shipments, fire and flood damages, Cash in transit, burglaries in industrial area factories to the property to armed robberies in the city banks.
Marine Survey
The company does carry out marine surveys at the port and final destination, Nairobi or upcountry. We also undertake surveillance on Motor vehicle, General cargo and Bulk cargo such as fertilizer, cereals etc. In the event of damages, we establish the extend of loss an issue a survey report in which loss adjustment would be drawn, to show amount payable in accordance with the Cover Note or Policy conditions applicable.
Insurance Cover
When damages occur, our surveyors inspect the cargo and establish the extend of loss and we issue our survey report. The survey report and our adjustment of loss would be in accordance with the cover issued by the insurers. For example when GIT cover is in place, loss would be limited to damages to or per truck conveyance.
Damages On Board The Vessel
When damages on board vessel occur, our surveyor would call for a joint survey to include the Shipping Agent, Port Authority Police, C/F Agents and others in order to facilitate and establish the nature of damages while claim against the ship owner would be made so that the insurer’s rights of subrogation would be safeguarded. Our surveyor would see to it that the process is completed.
Short Landings
According to our long experience, most alleged short landed cargo are NOT but are either misplaced within the port area or at the port of transshipment. Other cargos are missing due to cross delivery. Our surveyor would carry out search at the port for the missing cargo and make a follow up of similar cargo delivered to other various consignee’s in order to secure the missing cargo.
Goods in Transit
Goods in transit insurance/cover will insure goods carried in your vehicle as part of your trading activities, covering both your own supplies (e.g. building materials) as well as other peoples (e.g. packages). With goods in transit insurance you will rest safe in the knowledge that should your goods be lost, stolen or damaged in any way whilst in transit you won’t have to foot the bill (subject to the terms and conditions of the policy wording).
Cash In Transit
Cash-In-Transit policy indemnifies the insured against accidental loss or damage to the insured’s cash, bank and currency notes, cheques, etc while in transit from one specified location to the other, for example the insured’s premises to the bank, or within the country.
The company is registered by Insurance Regulatory Authority in Kenya and we are a member of the Institute of Loss Adjusters and Risk Managers and Surveyors Kenya. We therefore provide our services as below: –
